Virox

Documentation

Operate Virox Cloud with fewer surprises.

Start with the task you need to complete or review the deployment and security references.

Getting started

Create an account, verify your email, and understand personal workspaces.

Uploading files

Use the picker, drag and drop, folder upload, retry, and cancellation controls.

Sharing safely

Set a password, expiration, preview and download rules, or create an upload request.

File versions

Inspect, download, restore, and retain older versions.

API access

Create scoped API keys and use the versioned REST endpoints.

Self-hosting

Configure PostgreSQL, Redis, MinIO, mail, billing, TLS, backups, and updates.

Getting started

Register, verify the email address, sign in, then open the personal workspace created for the account.

Uploads

Uploads are split into parts. The API reserves quota, signs each part, verifies the final object, and queues post-processing.

Sharing

Share links expose only their selected target. Passwords are hashed and links can expire or stop after a download limit.

Versions

Replacing or editing a file keeps its prior object as a version. Restoring creates another version instead of rewriting history.

API

Development OpenAPI documentation is available at the API documentation endpoint. Production administrative documentation is disabled.

Self-hosting

Use the included production installer on a supported Ubuntu LTS or Debian 12 host after DNS points to that server.
